UGA student convicted in peeping Tom case

- A University of Georgia student was convicted of being a peeping Tom after he tampered with bathroom door locks so he could walk in on women as they used the facility.

Theodore Bawayan was convicted by a Clarke County jury on one count of being a peeping Tom. He was acquitted of the other two charges, according to court records.

In September 2014, Bawayan allegedly walked in on three women, on four separate occasions, as they were using the bathroom, according to court records. The incidents reportedly happened within a two-day span.

Bawayan is currently awaiting sentencing.
