CONYERS, Ga. - About 20 dogs and cats at a Conyers pet rescue center are in need of a new home.
Officials at the Rockdale County Animal Control said they have about 20 animals that are in need of temporary or permanent homes as the facility is about to undergo renovations. During the construction, the center will only have half the space available to serve the animals. With a lower pet count, the center's director, Cigi Baker, said the renovation process will go much easier.
Baker said none of the pets will be euthanized as part of this adoption effort. The center will remain open during the renovation, which is set to begin Friday, September 23.
The Rockdale County Animal Control is located at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers, GA 30012.
