SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. - The case against two Georgia men accused of dragging a black man to his death behind a pickup truck is going before a grand jury.
The murder of 23-year-old Timothy Coggins happened more than 30 years ago.
Frankie Gebhardt and Bill Moore, Sr. went before a judge in Spalding County Thursday morning.
Authorities accuse Gebhardt and Moore of killing Coggins in 1983 in what prosecutors believe was a racially-motivated murder.
They said the two men were intimately familiar with some of the details of the crime.
Investigators said Coggins was dragged behind a truck before being left disfigured on the side of the road.
The case will now move to Spalding County Superior Court.
