ATLANTA - Two military families lost all of their belongings Saturday at Six Flags. Brent Pacleb, his wife Trini, along with their son and cousin, were visiting the theme park for Military Appreciation weekend with Edgar and Abby Calvo. Brent and Edgar are both active members in the Army National Guard.
The group decided to share a locker for their phones, debit/credit cards, cash, military ID's and car keys. They locked it up and went on a ride, but when they came back everything was gone.
We were stripped of everything all at once," Trini Pacleb says.
The group was stranded. The Pacleb family tells FOX 5 they didn't get back to their home in Brunswick until Sunday night because they no longer had the keys to their vehicle.
"If it weren't for our family we would have been stranded in the middle of Atlanta with no one to contact, no phones, just stuck," Brent Pacleb says.
Brent says he hasn't been able to get back on Base because the thieves took his military ID as well.
"We will never get a locker again. We will get a fanny pack," Trini Pacleb says.
Cobb County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
FOX 5 reached out to Six Flags. In a written statement they said it was an unfortunate situation and they are doing everything they can to help recover the stolen items.
Authorities are asking anyone with any information to call police.
