Atlanta rappers speak out against violence

- Voices in Atlanta's music industry are speaking out against violence, after the latest shooting inside a Southwest Atlanta recording studio left two people dead.

"You (get) tired of hearing that," said Mook B, a musician known for the group D4L and the song "Laffy Taffy." He personally knew Bankroll Fresh, another rapper shot dead earlier this year inside a music studio.

Mook B believes, especially after a series of shootings at studios, recording studio owners should have a policy to keep guns out of their buildings.

"Once you stop the guns at the door, you kill the shooting," Mook B said, who told FOX 5 he prohibits smoking, weapons and "negativity" from his Nu Radio Station and recording studio work space.

"It could have been one of us. It could have been someone real close to me," said musician Miltown Bloe, who knew one of the rappers killed Wednesday night.

Miltown Bloe tells FOX 5 he tries to record his music at home, to prevent negative distractions.

"Anything that gets you out of your artistry, you don't need to be around," he said.
