Who shot up a Douglas County deputy's home?

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - A $12,500 reward is being offered to help catch the gunman who shot up a Douglas County deputy's home.

Investigators say the shots rang out just before 9 p.m. on Monday at the home, which is located in Paulding County. Witnesses tell FOX 5 as many as ten shots were fired, striking the house multiple times. 

Luckily, the deputy nor his family were home at the time so no one was injured in the shooting.  

Detectives don't know if the gunman knew that he or she was firing at a law enforcement officer's home or whether the residence was chosen at random.

Paulding County Sheriff's Office is taking the lead in the investigation, with help from Douglas County.  

Douglas Sheriff Phil Miller is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the gunman's arrest and conviction. Sheriff Miller says he will spare no expense or resources until that person is captured.
