Woman charged in 2 road rage incidents after pointing weapon at victim

A Baytown woman has been charged with aggravated assault of a deadly weapon after two separate road rage incidents.

In one of the incidents, the victim was able to capute of photo of the woman pointing what looks like a gun.

La Porte Police received a report around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday that a white female, driving a red Silverado pickup truck, pointed a gun at a victim in an apparent road rage incident on State Highway 225.

This was the second report of a road rage incident with similar details. The previous episode was reported in July.

Detectives canvassing the area were able to locate the suspect and her vehicle two days later parked in a nearby industrial park.

The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Amanda Downs.

Downs confessed to both reported incidents, surrendering what turned out to be a large folding knife cast in the shape of a handgun.
