VIDEO: Police hog-tie, arrest passenger at LAX

- Passengers boarding a plane at LAX got quite a surprise Saturday morning.

Police hog-tied and then carried away a man from a flight.

It all began at about 8-o'clock Saturday morning on an American Airlines flight 362 to Chicago.

A crew-member kneeling in the aisle could be seen talking to a man who had been acting erratically.

Eventually the passengers were told to deboard the flight and wait in the terminal as officers escorted the man off the plane.

Witnesses say the officers confiscated a baggie from the man.

Police are not saying what was in it.

The man was then carried away by three airport officers with restraints on his wrists and around his knees.

He's been identified as Collin Welk from  Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

Our FOX 11 News Director's husband and daughter were on board the flight and sent us this video.

Officers say the man was also wearing an ankle monitor, possibly indicating that he was under some sort of court supervision.

He was booked for intoxication and resisting arrest.

After it was over passengers were allowed back on the plane and the flight departed for Chicago.
