72-year-old Silver Spring man rapes, impregnates 12-year-old, Montgomery County officials say

SILVER SPRING, Md. - A 72-year-old man routinely raped a 12-year-old girl and eventually impregnated her in a Silver Spring apartment, according to officials.

Court records detailed the disturbing accusations against Ovidio de Jesus Perez of the 100 block of Quebec Terrace.

Montgomery County police said every Saturday the victim was ordered to get undressed and told to be silent as Perez raped her in his apartment.

The victim was impregnated and told investigators the last time she was raped by Perez was on Nov. 18, according to court documents. 

Perez was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree rape, and continuing course of conduct with a child.

FOX 5 is not disclosing the relationship between Perez and the victim in order to protect the victim’s identity.
