The police department shared on Facebook footage from one of its officer's body cameras of a "deering" rescue of a wild buck who was trapped by a net.

"We never know what the day has in store ... some are better than others," the police department said in its Facebook post.

In the video Traffic Sergeant Jamie McDowell and Motor Officer Richard Hancock slowly cut pieces of the net that were caught on various branches and vines, trying their best to keep the panicked buck as calm as possible.

After about five minutes of struggling with the vines, the officers were able to cut the buck free.

The deer didn't stay around to thank the officers, but we bet he would say he'd be "fawn-d" of his rescuers.
