Marvel producer honored a Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA - It's expected to be one of the biggest comic book movie releases to-date.

Marvel's Black Panther will hit theaters in just one week.

Ahead of its release, one of the movie's producers, David Grant, was honored at the State Capitol.

Black Panther was filmed right here in Georgia.

State Rep. Erica Thomas said the production for Black Panther brought in over $84 million to the state.

So far, five Marvel movies have been shot and produced in Georgia with at least three more in the works.
