Atlanta Humane Society takes in animals evacuated from Gulf Coast
ATLANTA - The Atlanta Humane Society took 35 dogs from Mississippi after they were evacuated just ahead of Gordon’s landfall.
They were split up between the Humane Society's two facilities, the Howell Mill campus in Midtown, and the Alpharetta campus.
The animals were resting Wednesday, but will soon be up for adoption.
