When Atlanta resident Jessica Edwards decided to email Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, she didn't expect any response. She just wanted to tell them how much her son loved to shop for groceries.

"I just have to tell you that my 8-year-old son Noah who happens to have Down syndrome loves Kroger," she wrote. "We shop there every day and he knows everyone from every department."

To Edwards' surprise, Kroger contacted her and wanted to turn her heartfelt family story into a video showing off Noah's "best friend employees" and the way he shops.

"Every time we come here his buddies stop to see him ... That extra minute for Noah, and for me as a mom, is wonderful," Edwards said.

Noah has certain groceries he wants to get every time he shops at Kroger. His favorite thing to pick up is a box of Horizon Chocolate Milk, which a Kroger employee makes sure is cold when he comes in.
