Wake park celebrates hits & misses at Friday event

- Sipping a margarita isn’t the only way to stay cool this Cinco de Mayo – and one of North Georgia’s top water sports attractions is celebrating with a competition sure to make a big splash.

Terminus Wake Park is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Taco Party starting at noon on Friday, May 5, sending wakeboarders straight for the pipe rail to see who has the best hit, and who has the most spectacular “taco” (which, in this case, means fall!).  Terminus Wake Park is a cable wakeboarding facility, featuring three lakes in which riders can wakeboard using an advanced cable system instead of being pulled behind a boat.   Thrill-seekers interesting in showing off their best moves during the Cinco de Mayo competition can register at the park’s front office, and there’s a $10 cost to enter.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has enjoyed some spectacular falls on live television in the past, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity for him to finally be rewarded for it!  He spent the morning at Terminus Wake Park getting a preview of this unique contest.
