It's a simple gesture: a thank you note, and once again an Atlanta-based radio show has taken that concept and turned it into a massive campaign for our troops overseas.

Thanks to Q100's The Bert Show, every American service member deployed outside the United States will receive a handwritten thank you letter this Thanksgiving.

The nationally syndicated radio show started "The Big Thank You" campaign a few years back. It was hugely successful and once again, they have reached their goal.

Monday, FOX 5 News was there as Bert Show volunteers prepared to send the thousands of letters overseas. The U.S. Post Office picked up the letters from The Bert Show studios.

Since it started, the Big Thank You campaign has collected more than one million handwritten letters. The Bert Show even received a call from First Lady Michelle Obama congratulating them on the campaign's overall success.
