It’s Spring Break Adventures week here on Good Day Atlanta, which means we’re crisscrossing the state in search of some unique ideas to keep you and your family busy next week. And while earlier this week we did some screaming on a new zipline course in Metro Atlanta, that was nothing compared to the screams you’ll be hearing from a special three-day-only attraction in Lithia Springs!
This morning, the Good Day feature team took a deep breath and ventured inside “The Rot” — a Spring Break haunt from the team at Containment Haunted House. Since first opening back in 2015, Containment (the name, by the way, comes from the fact that the haunt was created out of more than 20 shipping containers) has become one of North Georgia’s top haunted attractions, combining animatronics, special effects, and live actors to create an unforgettable, immersive horror-movie-come-to-life. This is the first time the Containment team has put together a Spring Break experience, and the theme of “The Rot” revolves around the ghosts and monsters of the paranormal world getting in their final scares before taking a long summer rest.
The Rot” at Containment Haunted House will run Thursday, April 4th through Saturday, April 6th from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. each night. Containment is located at 1320 Blairs Bridge Road in Lithia Springs, just off of Thornton Road and I-20. General admission tickets are $20 per person online, or $17.50 each when purchased in a four-pack.
So...was the Good Day feature team brave enough to make it through “The Rot” without completely losing composure? Ha…who are we kidding? Click on the video player above to watch what happened.
