Soccer Camp Serves Men And Women Who Served Our Country

It's something that's never been done before -- a soccer camp specifically for veterans with physical disabilities who might just have what it takes to compete internationally.

Atlanta-based BlazeSports partnered with U.S. Paralympic Soccer for the BlazeSports Veteran Paralympic Soccer Camp, held on the campus of Oglethorpe University.  Athletes attending the camp spent several days practicing soccer skills under the watchful eyes of U.S. Soccer coaches, who are looking for a few good men to compete on the U.S. Soccer Paralympic National Team.  Last week was the third of three camps, made possible through a grant by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs Adaptive Sports Program -- but funding has already been secured for next year.

BlazeSports, meanwhile, is an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of men, women, and children with physical disabilities through sports.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken got the chance to visit the soccer camp and talk with those involved in this unique program.
