Small gestures are going a long way for hundreds of premature babies in Atlanta after a man started making knit caps for the newborns over the summer.

Ed Mosely, a former engineer, started making knit caps for preemies after staff at his Dogwood Forest Assisted Living facility suggested it for World Prematurity Day.

Mosely, along with other residents, created more than 350 caps, each with different colors and patterns. The group delivered the caps to Northside Hospital last Thursday.

Mosely said they plan on making many more!
