Self-taught artists take center stage at 'Folk Fest'

It's called "The World's Greatest Folk Art Show and Sale" -- and it's been a tradition for lovers of unique artwork for decades.

The 2015 Slotin Folk Fest is back at the North Atlanta Trade Center this weekend, August 14th through 16th.  Folk Fest is a celebration of "folk art" -- a term used for self-taught artists.  Many of these artists are people who create colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by their own lives and places in which they grew up.  Folk Fest showcases both "new" names in the Folk Art world, as well as established favorites ranging from Howard Finster to Fleetwood Covington.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken always has a good time exploring this incredible collection of art, and spend the morning at the North Atlanta Trade Center getting a preview of this year's show.
