Pa. officer claims Starbucks barista denied him use of restroom

A Starbucks in Philadelphia is getting an earful about a Facebook post from a police officer.

He wrote that a barista refused to let him use the coffee shop's restroom.

The officer said the woman behind the counter refused to give him the restroom "key code" saying the facilities were reserved for paying customers.

The officer claimed she repeated that in a loud voice and with what he described as a "smirk."

The corporate office for Starbucks released a statement:

"This customer's experience is not consistent with the welcoming and friendly environment we strive to create for everyone."
