Hammocks are generally used after a workout -- once you've burned calories and are ready for some rest. But an Atlanta gym is offering a unique class that makes the hammock an essential part of the workout.
opened in September 2015, and offers classes devoted to "Body" (using hand weights, a ballet barre, and more), "Rev" (indoor cycling), and "Mind" (yoga). The "Mind" class gets participants into suspended hammocks to do yoga movements, which instructors say helps strengthen and elongate the body and work on flexibility.
