Model train fans 'make tracks' to Saturday show

Duluth will come alive this weekend with the sound of tiny chugging train engines pulling into the Infinite Energy Forum, as the 54th Atlanta Model Train and Railroadiana Show and Sale arrives in town.

The show takes place Saturday, August 26 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Forum, located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.  The event draws model train dealers and enthusiasts from across the country for a day of sales, demonstrations, and swapping layout ideas.  Along with model sets for sale and several running layouts to check out, the event also features dealers in “railroadiana,” which describes vintage railroad equipment and collectibles including lanterns, signage, calendars, and dining car china.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the Infinite Energy Forum, getting a preview of this weekend’s show.
