Local tour company invites guests to walk with 'Walkers'

It’s one of the biggest shows on television, and it happens to film right here in North Georgia.  And fans who just can’t get enough of “The Walking Dead” now have another opportunity to explore the real locations used in the series, thanks to Atlanta Movie Tours.

Atlanta Movie Tours was launched in 2012 by Carrie Burns, with the idea of taking visitors to locations used in locally-filmed movies and television series.  Since then, more than 25,000 people have taken the tours, which include Big Zombie 1 and Big Zombie 2 (locations from “The Walking Dead”), Victory Tour (“The Hunger Games”) and Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind Tour.  The newest addition is Big Zombie 3, which covers shooting locations for “The Walking Dead” in Griffin, Haralson, and Hampton.  All tours last three hours, and each one is priced at $65 per person.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken decided to tag along for a look at Big Zombie 3, and explored some familiar (and spooky) places in Historic Downtown Hampton.
