Local preschoolers, kindergarten students cast ballots in special 'election'

They won't be voting for President quite yet, but a group of local preschoolers and kindergarteners are preparing to cast ballots in a very special  November election.

Primrose School of Midtown at Colony Square is holding its own Election Day on November 2 at 10 a.m.  Preschool students will be voting on two major issues -- the school's Presidential Primrose Friend mascot and afternoon snack.  Administrators at the school say they hope to teach the children about the importance of civic duty and to give them a better idea of how the election process works.  During the election, students will line up at the polls (which will be staffed by community leaders), present a voter ID card, and then receive an "I Voted!" sticker after casting his or her ballot.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning at Primrose School of Midtown at Colony Square, talking to students and staff about this unique and exciting day.
