Atlanta actress Kyanna Simone Simpson lands role in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks film

A student at The University of Georgia landed a role in the HBO film, 'The Immortal Live of Henrietta Lacks' starring Oprah Winfrey.  Kyanna Simone Simpson portrays a younger version of Oprah Winfrey's character, Deborah Lacks in the film.  For Simpson, this experience was a dream come true as she has always been made aware of her resemblance to Oprah Winfrey. 

Simpson has always had a passion for acting and talked to Good Day anchor Alyse Eady about how she met actor Tony Vaughn from Tyler Perry's Meet The Brown's and asked for an audition for him in a grocery store parking lot.  Kyanna Simone Simpson from Atlanta and is building up her acting resume with appearances in several productions like Being Mary Jane and A Christmas Blessing.    Her next major film will be along side actor Matthew McConaughey on the film, White Boy Rick.
