Legend of bigfoot explored at north Georgia Museum

CHERRY LOG, Ga. - It’s only been open for a little more than a year, but a North Georgia Museum is already one of the “biggest” attractions around.

Expedition: Bigfoot is a 4,000-square foot museum located in Cherry Log, Georgia – about halfway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge.  Owners David and Malinda Bakara opened the museum in early 2016, after spending years researching Bigfoot sightings and going on several expeditions themselves.  The Bakaras say the museum now includes the largest permanent display of Sasquatch artifacts, including hand and footprint casts, photographs, sketches, audio recordings, and even a Bigfoot Research and Tech Vehicle used during field research.  The museum has also hosted special guests and events, including a Town Hall meeting on July 8, giving North Georgia residents a chance to share their stories of Bigfoot encounters.
