Young men & women get model makeovers for special show:  It’s an incredible evening of high fashion that takes some very special young men and women – and turns them into runway models worthy of the most exclusive catwalks in New York!

Couture for Kids is an annual fundraising event of the Georgia Chapter of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, and features children and young adults who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor strutting their stuff on the runway.  The event is hosted by Tootsies in Buckhead, which treats the “models-in-training” to special pampering including fittings, hair and makeup, and runway lessons.  This year’s Couture for Kids will take place Wednesday, September 20th and will feature a VIP hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m., drinks and hors d’oeuvres, a silent and live auction, and the fashion show.  Last year, Couture for Kids raised more than $40,000 and organizers with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation are hoping to increase that number this year.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Tootsies with a few of the “junior supermodels,” helping them perfect their model walks and learning more about why this is such an unforgettable evening for everyone involved.
