Burger's With Buck:  It's officially football season, and for many that means it's also 'sports bar season'.  For those that don't journey down to the stadium to tailgate, or opt to grill out at home on game day...a sports bar is the perfect place to watch the game, enjoy some camaraderie, and eat some great game day fare.  BUT...all sports bar menus are definitely not created equal.

With steaks, seafood, and chicken jambalaya on the menu, Hudson Grille prides itself on not serving typical bar food.  But the menu is also complete with sports bar standards like wings, nachos, and of course burgers.

I bet you can figure out where this is headed.

There are eight burger choices on the menu that all start with a half-pound of Certified Angus Beef, hand-pattied (house made spinach and quinoa burger and house made turkey burger are also options).

#BurgersWithBuck opted for the Maker's Mark Burger.  It is made with the aforementioned half pound CAB pattie, Maker's Mark infused BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, crispy onions, and applewood smoked bacon.  It did not disappoint.

Next time, I think I'll try the namesake burger, The Hudson.

The good news...a tasty burger is not only satisfying while watching your team dominate on the field of play, but it can also at least help ease the pain, if only just a little, when your team doesn't get it done (see the Falcons season opening home loss to division rival Tampa Bay).

JapanFest2016 Returns to Infinite Energy Center:   The music, dance, fashion, and artistry of Japan are causing a major “cool”-down in North Georgia this weekend, thanks to the annual JapanFest at the Infinite Energy Center.

JapanFest 2016 is happening September 17-18, and is a weekend long celebration of Japanese culture.  This year’s theme is “Cooler Japan” and puts the spotlight on five different areas: tradition, fashion, music, technology, and anime.  For the first time in Atlanta, JapanFest will present Kabuki theatre, which is a traditional form of theatre blending music, dance, and costumes.  Also new this year is the Kimono Fashion Show, which will feature creative takes on the classic look.  Oh, and did we mention there’s a Pokemon Go! meetup happening?  Admission to JapanFest is ten dollars, and it’s open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the Infinite Energy Center, getting a preview of this exciting event.
