Zip into Adventure at Unicoi State Park and Lodge:   There's plenty of adventure to be found on the more than 1,000 acres of Unicoi State Park and Lodge in Helen -- but now, visitors have a whole new way to explore the park from high above the ground.

The Level Two Zip Line Canopy Tour and Aerial Adventure Park is officially open at Unicoi State Park and Lodge, which is located at 1788 Highway 356 in Helen.  A first level course was already in place, and this new second level adds eight ziplines and two skywalk bridges, bringing the park's total to 19 ziplines and nine skywalk bridges.  The star attraction at Unicoi State Park and Lodge is, of course, the 53-acre Unicoi Lake, and creators promise stunning views of the water from the new course.  The canopy tour was constructed by American Adventure Park Systems, the team behind the largest zipline canopy tour in the world, located at Historic Banning Mills in Carroll County.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning at Unicoi State Park and Lodge, zipping through the trees and learning more about this exciting new addition to Georgia's State Park system.
