Presidential History Preserved at Cartersville Museum:   While our country focuses on a future with a new commander-in-chief, a Cartersville museum is preserving important pieces of our Presidential past.

The Carolyn & James Millar Presidential Gallery at the Booth Western Art Museum is filled with memorabilia collected from the forty-three men who have previously served as President of the United States.  Of particular note in the collection is a signed letter from each President, along with portrait photographs of each one, many of which were taken by photographer Yousuf Karsh.  Museum staffers say the goal of the collection is to “humanize” each President, revealing more personal sides to the men who have been elected to office.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the Booth Western Art Museum, taking a tour of this truly unique exhibit.
