Outdoor Adventures: Cool River Tubing Company -STORY:Good Day Atlanta is searching for some outdoor adventure this week, and now that the weather's heating up, we've found a place to cool back down.
Cool River Tubing Company in Helen offers one or two-hour tubing trips down the Chattahoochee River. Trips include tubes, a life preserver, and shuttle service, and prices are as inexpensive as five dollars per person. This year, tubing will be available seven days a week starting on May 23rd. Aside from the tubing, Cool River also features dual waterslides (located at the main headquarters), and a zip line adventure located at the Headwater Outpost.
Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken last braved the cold waters of the Chattahoochee in February (remembering his Helen tubing adventure that morning?), and decided to take a trip to Cool River Tubing Company to see if the water's warmed up since then!

Burgers With Buck : The Vortex in Little Five Points- At The Vortex, they didn't invent the burger, but they were among the first in Atlanta to deliver a high quality, dare I say "gourmet" burger. They've been doing it, and doing it well, since 1992.
Let me start by saying that I am a regular Vortex customer. Their burgers are very good. The menu is loaded with creative, signature burgers like the Fat Elvis, the Black & Blue, and the Yokohama Mama, but their world famous Triple Coronary Bypass Burger literally takes things to a different level. In fact, three different levels.
Originally created as a novelty burger, it includes three burger patties, three fried eggs, fourteen slices of American cheese, and ten slices of bacon, all packed between two grilled cheese sandwiches.
If you know anything about Burgers With Buck, you know that backing down from a challenge is not what we're about. We came, we saw, we consumed, and we documented it on Good Day Atlanta.
