Burgers With Buck:   The Pinewood in downtown Decatur is a hip and cool neighborhood hangout/bar known for great food and extraordinary cocktails.  Their desire is to be equal parts high-class and home spun, and the Pinewood Cheeseburger hits the mark.

As the only traditional hamburger on the menu, the Pinewood Cheeseburger (or the double version as #BWB prefers) starts with an Angus patty with a traditional 80/20 blend, two strips of bacon, American cheese, and their house made Remoulade sauce...add lettuce, onions, and pickles (and an optional egg) on a locally made bun and you get a perfect mouthwatering blend somewhere between fancy and down home.

Now for my vegetarian brothers and sisters out there, I know I said there is only one burger on the menu, but take heart, there is an option for you as well.  Their Black Bean Burger is served on a toasted Challah bun, with Swiss cheese, wild mushrooms, and crispy onions.  I can't give it an official #BWB thumbs up because I haven't tasted it, but given the quality of the rest of the menu, I am certain that you won't be disappointed.

The Pinewood is located on West Ponce de Leon Avenue in downtown Decatur.  And for more information on the restaurant including the location and the menu, go to their website http://www.pinewoodtr.com/.
