- Horror Movie Gets Major Premiere in Atlanta:  It’s one of the most buzzed-about horror movies of the year – and now, the young men behind Spring Break Zombie Massacre are taking over Atlanta.

Sam Suchmann and Mattie Zufelt are best friends and Rhode Island-natives, both of whom have Down Syndrome.  A few years ago, they decided they wanted to make a zombie movie, and with the help of Kickstarter, raised thousands of dollars to help make it happen.  Along with way, the pair’s story gained the attention of stars including The Beastie Boys and the Farrelly Brothers, who gave money and lent resources to help make the movie a reality.  The result is Spring Break Zombie Massacre, featuring makeup effects from Atlanta’s own horror master Shane Morton of Silver Scream FX Lab.  The film is getting its Southeastern Premiere right here in Atlanta at the Plaza Theatre on October 21.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning with the young filmmakers at Silver Scream FX Lab, learning more about the film and the incredible road toward getting it made.
