- Dancers with Down Syndrome “Frolic” in Halloween Performance:  Forget about the “Monster Mash” – if the dancers from the Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome have anything to say about it, “Frankenstein’s Frolic” will be this year’s spookiest event.

“Frankenstein’s Frolic” is a Halloween-themed carnival taking place on October 16 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Atlanta Dance Central.  A dance performance at 1:45 p.m. will feature dancers from Atlanta Rising Talent Dance Company along with eleven students from the Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome, under the direction of Charlotte Williamson.  The Academy offers weekly classes for dancers with Down Syndrome, helping them with balance and coordination along with developing muscle tone and social skills.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Atlanta Dance Central talking with some of the students from the Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down, and getting a preview of this year’s big event!
