Top Animation Studio Leading The "Virtual" Revolution: Chance are, this past holiday season you sat down with the kids to watch animated special An Elf's Story, based on the popular book The Elf On The Shelf. But what you might not have realized is that it was an Atlanta animation studio that brought the tale to life.
TRICK 3D is one of Atlanta's top animation studios, specializing in animation, visual effects, and virtual reality. Chad Eikhoff created TRICK 3D back in the 2000s, when he was an independent filmmaker and needed visual effects for his own film. Eikhoff created a small team, which exploded into today's full-staffed studio. Along with creating the animated special An Elf's Story, TRICK 3D is responsible for working on commercials, creating virtual floorplans for the real estate business, and is busy creating content for what Eikhoff calls "the next great frontier" -- virtual reality.
Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning at TRICK 3D, where he geared up in a "mocap" (motion capture) suit to learn how the magic happens.

Demo: Purple Super Strength Smoothie
1 1/2 cups cold-pressed apple juice (substitute fresh if available)
1 cup black seedless grapes
1 Bartlett pear, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 cup tightly packed baby spinach, stems removed
1 tablespoon unfiltered organic flaxseed oil
Combine all ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth.
Drink with pleasure!
