ATLANTA - "The Walking Dead" Comes To Life In Midtown Atlanta:It's one of the biggest shows on television, and it happens to film right here in Metro Atlanta. Now, fans of "The Walking Dead" are getting the chance to step inside the world of "walkers" -- thanks to a one-of-a-kind attraction.
The Walking Dead Experience: Chapter One debuted at the recent Walker Stalker Con, and is currently open to brave fans for a limited run on 14th Street in Midtown Atlanta, near Atlantic Station. The "Experience" is the creation of director Michael Counts, who specializes in immersive theatre and wanted to give people the chance to truly live through a zombie apocalypse. Using sophisticated special effects, incredibly detailed sets, and actors -- The Walking Dead Experience challenges guests to survive a series of scenarios based on "The Walking Dead." Admission is based on various levels of involvement -- and guests can even choose to become a "walker" instead of a survivor!
Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken spent the morning exploring The Walking Dead Experience: Chapter One -- and if he's our only hope for survival against the walkers...we're very, very afraid!
I Am Momentum with Dorsey Levens: Local football fans will certainly remember the name Dorsey Levens: He set records as a running back for Georgia Tech, and in 1997 he helped the Green Bay Packers win their first Super Bowl in 29 years. The 45-year-old is now retired, but he's turning the success he once had on the football field into a brand new career. Levens says after he retired from the NFL, he realized his method for working out gave him a huge advantage over other players. "I lasted eleven years in the NFL where the average is under three years," says Levens. "And I figured, if working out like this is giving me such an advantage, it's going to help a lot of other people." Two years ago Levens started the "I Am Momentum" program, where he passes on his training strategy to athletes in all kinds of sports. See Ron Gant's story right here.
