This year's festival will take place on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Downtown City Park in Blue Ridge.  The event is expected to draw more than 5,000 people to the park for a day-long celebration of fishing and outdoor adventures.  Activities include several free programs offered by Atlanta Fly Fishing School, workshops from local experts on trout fishing in Fannin County, and live music starting Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.  Vendors will be selling outdoor and fishing gear, and there will also be food trucks and a beer garden operating during the day.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken took a trip up to Fannin County Thursday morning to get a preview of this year's big event...and try his hand at a cast or two!
