Georgia Native 'Storms The Capitol' In New 'Hunger Games' Movie

The most anticipated movie the year is just days from opening -- and along with featuring Metro Atlanta's locations, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" also stars a North Georgia native.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken recently sat down with actor Wes Chatham, who stars as Castor in the new film.  Chatham was born in North Georgia, and his family still lives in the area.  About filming the movie here in Metro Atlanta, Chatham says, "I wanted to be part of this my whole life, and my family and my friends have always known it.  So the fact that I get to experience, and share this experience of something so special as this film that we're part of with my family and my friends, and they can come visit and be a part of it, it's a dream come true."

Atlanta History Center's Swan House also plays a prominent role in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" -- serving as President Snow's mansion!  Atlanta History Center will be celebrating its "Hunger Games" connection with an event called "Storm the Capitol" on Sunday, November 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
