Coasting into spring break with Six Flags Over Georgia

It’s finally here! Students across North Georgia are enjoying a break this week (and who are we kidding? Teachers and staff are really enjoying the break!), and if there’s any place where young men and women can let off a little steam and coast away from the stress of the school year, it’s Six Flags Over Georgia.

The Austell theme park is celebrating Spring Break by opening its gates from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6, in addition to its current regular weekend hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.  The park will operate most of its major attractions during Spring Break week, including thrill rides BATMAN: The Ride, Dare Devil Dive, and Georgia Scorcher.  The park is also running iconic wooden rollercoaster Great American Scream Machine backward right now, a special attraction you first saw last month on Good Day Atlanta when Paul Milliken rode it live on television and screamed his head off!  Although it’s not quite open yet, visitors will also be able to see the progress of Twisted Cyclone, the park’s much-buzzed-about wood-and-steel hybrid coaster set to open later this season.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has finally recovered from repeatedly riding Great American Scream Machine backward for television, so he decided to head back to Six Flags Over Georgia to check out the park’s lineup for Spring Break week!
