Circus celebrates silver anniversary with pair of metro Atlanta stops
ATLANTA - How does one of the world’s top touring circuses celebrate 25 years of music, comedy, and thrills? By coming right back to where it all began, of course. And fans of UniverSoul Circus will have several chances to see the show this year, thanks to a pair of engagements here in metro Atlanta.
UniverSoul Circus will set up the big top in Atlanta from February 7 to March 11 at the old Turner Field Green Lot before moving up to Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth from March 14 to March 18. This is the first time the circus has booked two engagements here in metro Atlanta, and tickets for the shows start at just $20. UniverSoul Circus, in case you’ve never been, is one-part circus, one-part theatre, and one-part concert, with performers from around the world displaying some jaw-dropping skills and live music covering the spectrum from pop to jazz to gospel. Acts scheduled to appear in Atlanta include Good Day Atlanta’s old friend Lucky (the Ringmaster!) and his sidekick Zeke, along with clowns, motorcycle stunt drivers, and Caribbean dancers.
To be honest, Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken has been trying to steal Lucky’s job for years – so, of course, he spent the morning under the big top in Atlanta trying to do it again!
