Burgers with Buck: Village Burger
It takes a Village!
Normally when #BurgersWithBuck visits a restaurant, we feature their signature or most popular burger. This week, that wasn’t possible because Village Burger doesn’t have a “signature burger”, instead the customer puts his or her own signature on every burger. Many restaurants have “create your own burger” as an option on the menu, but at VB, every burger is your own creation.
Your first choice is whether to start with the House Burger with one Certified Angus Beef patty or the Village Burger with two Certified Angus Beef patties (of course #BWB chose the Village Burger) with Pepper Jack cheese.
Now, the fun begins. It’s time to make it your way. The list of free topping options includes lettuce, tomato, pickles, relish, raw or grilled onions, jalapeños, green pepper, sauerkraut; Sauces: Ketchup, mustard, spicy mustard, mayo, steak, barbecue, hot sauce, and VB sauce. For an additional charge, you can also add bacon, Chili, Cole Slaw, Avocado, and mushrooms.
Sometimes adding too many toppings can cover up the taste of the meat, so we decided to keep it simple and stick to the free toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, fresh jalapenos, spicy mustard, and VB sauce).
Oh yeah, and did I mention the price? The House Burger starts at a mere $4.29, and the Village Burger starts at $5.59, and you can load it down with as many of the free toppings listed above, as you like.
Village Burger has three locations, the original one in Dunwoody opened in 2010, the Johns Creek location opened in 2014, and they’ve recently opened their newest location on Main Street in Tucker.
