Burgers with Buck: Common Quarter

It seems most chefs love burgers.  Eating them, well perhaps, but the real joy comes in creating new ones and then naming them.

Among some of the greats honored on #BurgersWithBuck, "The Ghetto Burger" and "The Triple Coronary Bypass", and of course I'm partial to "The Buckster", "The What the Buck", and "The Cowboy Buck Burger." Anyway, you get the idea.  Burgers are supposed to be delicious, that is a given, but they are also supposed to be creative and fun, and that is what the Summer Mondays Burger Bash at Common Quarter in East Cobb, is all about.  From the Cheese Marin Burger (named after Cheech Marin of Cheech & Chong fame), made with Monterey Jack cheese, Mexican chorizo, roasted green chiles, pickled red onions, and chipotle mayo, to the Roquefort Files Burger (named after the 1970's TV show starring James Garner) made with bacon jam, Roquefort, crispy onions, and sautéed leeks...once again, you get the idea.

With summer winding down, the #BWB staff decided it was high time to get out to Common Quarter before the end of this special summer burger celebration.

Sidebar...I've got good news for you.  Due to the popularity of the Summer Mondays Burger Bash, it will be extended, indefinitely.

Now back to this week's selection, which could also be classified as pretty good news, especially if you like Spanish food and spices.  The "Inigo Montoya Burger" (named after the fictional Spaniard in the movie Princess Bride) starts with a thick seven ounce single pattie of grass fed beef, with Serrano ham, crispy potatoes, Manchego cheese, garlic aioli, and Romesco sauce.  There's a lot happening here, and if you want to try it, you have to go to Common Quarter on Monday (8/1).

Now you know that sometimes I can't help myself so here goes..."My name is Buck Lanford.  You ate my burger.  Prepare to die."

Want even more good news?  Of course you do, so here goes.  They do have a burger on the menu seven days a week.  The "Look West Burger" is an homage to the Double-Double Animal Style from In-N-Out Burger.  It is made with two grass fed beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, griddled onions and of course the "secret sauce".
