Burgers with Buck: Cibo e Beve

When you think of ordering a mouthwatering burger, doing it at a traditional Italian restaurant is probably not the first thing that pops into your mind.  That may change.

Cibo e Beve is known for celebrating the food, the wine, and the culture of Italy...in Sandy Springs.  The menu is full of classic Italian favorites like Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Marsala, and Handmade Fettucine, but if you look closely you will see an item that is not usually associated with fine Italian dining (other than on the kid's menu, perhaps).

Time out for a quick Italian 101 lesson for you, the word doppio means double.  OK, now back to your regularly scheduled web script.

The Cibo "Doppio" burger starts with two 4.5 oz. patties (ground brisket, tri-tip, and short rib blend), topped with American Cheese, Nueske's Bacon, Doux South Pickles, lettuce and tomato...all on a Big Marty Bun.

When you think of a burger at an Italian restaurant, it is tempting to think that it is some kind of a gimmick, like a spaghetti burger or a lasagna burger.  Rest assured, there is nothing gimmicky about the Doppio Burger.  In fact, there is nothing really Italian about it either, but that's OK with #BurgersWithBuck.  We don't discriminate when it comes to burgers.

Italian food is delicious, and when not on duty, the #BWB staff has been known to partake of it on occasion, but if you're a burger lover you owe it to yourself to give the Doppio Burger a try.  We're pretty sure you won't regret your order.  In fact, feel free to go ahead and say grazie to us, in advance.
