Beating the summer heat at new aqua park

It’s been a hot month, and there’s a good chance August won’t bring much relief from the scorching temperatures and oppressive humidity.  But a new feature at one of North Georgia’s most unique and extreme water parks might just provide the perfect way to cool down.

Terminus Wake Park, the popular cable wakeboarding park at Emerson’s growing LakePoint Sporting Community, recently opened a new attraction called the Aqua Park.  What is it?  Think ninja obstacle course…on water.  Guests can pay $15 on weekdays (and $20 on weekends) for 45 minutes in the Aqua Park, which is filled with inflatable features including a floating trampoline, swinging catapults, ladders, and very slippery bridges.  The Aqua Park is open seven days a week, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Friday and noon to 8 p.m. on weekends.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken is always searching for a way to escape the summer heat, and spent the morning splashing through this “cool” new attraction.
