BB&T Atlanta Open brings tennis stars to GA

ATLANTA - More than 30,000 tennis fans packed Atlantic Station last year for the BB&T Atlanta Open -- and this year is expected to be another grand slam for the popular event.

The very best tennis players in the world will play at the BB&T Atlanta Open, which continues through August 7 at Atlantic Station.  The event is the third in the nine-tournament Emirates Airline US Open Series, which culminates with the US Open.  Stakes are high in Atlanta, with 2016 prize money totaling at more than $600,000.
