Atlanta restaurant brings French festival to area diners

If you've ever been lucky enough to visit France during the Fêtes de Bayonne, you know it's a massive celebration featuring food, drink, and live entertainment.  But this year, you don't have to miss out on the fun just because a trip around the world doesn't quite fit in your budget.

Atlanta restaurant Cooks & Soldiers will host its second annual Fêtes de Bayonne on Sunday, July 29 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.  This year, executive chef Matthew Ridgway has cooked up a French-inspired menu true to the spirit of the Fêtes de Bayonne, which is a five-day festival in Bayonne, a city in the southwestern part of France.  Revelers traditionally dress in red and white during the festival, and diners at Cooks & Soldiers are encouraged to do the same during this special event at the restaurant.

Cooks & Soldiers is located at 691 14th Street Northwest in Atlanta, and tickets for the Fêtes de Bayonne may be purchased online here.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken celebrated the Fêtes de Bayonne last year with the gang from Cooks & Soldiers, and couldn't resist a return visit to do a ceremonial "throwing of the key" and, of course, some taste-testing!
