All heroes welcome on Auto Show opening day

- Superman may fly faster than a speeding bullet and Batman’s already got a pretty sweet ride, but that doesn’t mean heroes don’t want to spend time shopping for the flashiest new vehicles on the market.  So if you happen to see Wonder Woman or Black Panther browsing the floor of the Georgia World Congress Center on Wednesday, don’t be surprised — it’s just Heroes Day!

The 36th Annual Atlanta International Auto Show returns to the Georgia World Congress Center March 21 through March 25, bringing more than 500 new and pre-production vehicles under one roof.  The event is produced by the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association and has become one of the premier auto shows in the country, filling 400,000 square feet with the hottest new cars and trucks on the market. To kick things off, Wednesday, March 21 is Heroes Day, which means real heroes like police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and military veterans (sorry, Superman) can get half-off on admission for the day by presenting an identification card or badge.

Thursday, March 22 is Seniors Day, giving guests 55 years of age and older a 50 percent discount, and Friday the 23rd is College Day, which means college students get half off.  Regular admission is $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages six to 12.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken certainly isn’t a hero, but he’s always up for some early morning “window shopping.”  So he spent the morning at the Georgia World Congress Center, getting a first look at this year’s show!
