He designed dresses for superstars like Taylor Swift and Oprah Winfrey, and dressed up First Ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. Now, some of his most impressive creations are on exhibit at a unique new Atlanta museum.
is a fashion museum created by Savannah College of Art and Design, and recently opened to the public at 1600 Peachtree (on the school's Atlanta campus). The facility features 10,000 square feet of exhibition space, along with a fashion resource room and media lounge. The museum's opening exhibition is dedicated to Oscar de la Renta, the legendary designer who dressed Hollywood heavyweights including Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman. The exhibit includes more than 60 works, many designed for de la Renta's family and friends.
