ATLANTA - The road to recovery can be a long and challenging one for breast cancer patients following surgery, but a unique pilates class in Metro Atlanta seeks to help women regain their strength in a safe and soothing way.
TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation is a non-profit organization established in 2003, and provides specialized rehab for women with breast cancer including physical therapy, exercise, massage therapy, and more. Every Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., TurningPoint offers a Pilates Mat Class geared toward women who have already started basic core strengthening.
The class is led by instructor Lauren Bober, and thanks to donors, the first four classes are offered for free.
