A non-mother says she deserves a maternity leave too calling it a "Me-ternity" leave.
In a story from the New York Post (http://nyp.st/1QC7Bv9) Meghann Foye talks about her new book called "Me-ternity."
Foye says it is about how all women need some time to focus on their personal lives. Foye, 38, says she got jealous seeing pregnant co-workers get time off to have children.
She says maternity leave does not just give women time to take care of their families, but it also gives them a chance to take a step back and see what they really want in life.
Foye says a lot of her co-workers came back from maternity leave with fresh goals with some even choosing to change careers.
Foye hopes her book will inspire women to get a better balance between work and life.
